Domestic & Family Violence and Community Housing Service Manager

Prospect Community Services Ltd. is currently seeking a Service Manager to oversee the day to day operations of its Domestic and Family Violence and Community Housing Programs.
  • The successful applicant will have:
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum two (2) years) in a management/supervisory role, with supporting experience working with women and children experiencing Domestic and Family Violence and in social housing;
  • Knowledge of, or experience working in, the Not-For-Profit (NFP) sector (preferably in Health or Community Services);
  • Applied understanding of Health, Care and Community Services and relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and frameworks;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and mediation skills;
  • Demonstrated high level IT skills including familiarity and experience with using Microsoft Office products and CHINTARO Social Housing management software;
  • Ability to consistently lead by example; and
  • Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously.

Domestic Violence Response Worker

Prospect Community Services Ltd. is currently seeking a part-time Domestic Violence Response Worker to work as part of our Domestic Violence Response Team in delivering Domestic Violence Shelter-related services. The role involves participation in an on-call roster. The inherent nature of our domestic and family violence services and requirements of this role necessitate female candidates only.
  • The successful applicant will have:
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum two (2) years) in the domestic and family violence field;
  • Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to, and communicate sensitively with, women and children escaping domestic and family violence;
  • Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, mediation, and oral and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaboration with other relevant community and government organisations;
  • Well-developed computer skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and use of information management systems; and
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
